ZUMBABIDA - 10CK

Our first action was to decrease the number of fats inside one person and to show them what too much fat or obesity is doing to our systems just like when we did the Zumba our physical bodies where getting tired easily because of the fats in our bodies and also some other scientific facts but mainly how heavy a person can be can also be a factor of the fact that we are getting tired easily

This is the Video of our Zumba

Franz group with the collaboration and teamwork with Mae Rose's group ran a Zumba event at the gym on Tuesday during Interval at November 28, 2017, and it kinda went well, because a lot of people went but the problem is only the Filipinos went, but some kiwi's tried to go and have some fun and join the Zumba but they couldn't because they didn't have the gold coin for the entrance and the Zumba event ran by mainly by the support of two groups, Mae Rose's Group and Franz group.

Project Based Learning - November 21 2017

Steps needed to achieve the goal.
What will help us achieve this goal? (Enablers)
Possible barriers and how they could be overcome
Who is responsible for this step?
Date this step will be achieved by.
We could discuss to miss Merrin our plans of raising awareness in the gym and what we could do inside the gym.
We could get some assistance from ms Keenan and ask for her permission to use the gym and maybe get some healthy foods in the gym
Ms. Keenan might deny the fact that we’re gonna enter some food inside the gym and ms Keenan might be somewhere we cannot find and could not ask for her permission

11/25/17
We could ask ms clarence if we could share some healthy, good food at the auditorium at dean time in order to give some awareness of health at the start of a week on monday
We could ask ms Clark to ask ms clarence to tell her if we could do our intention
We might not find ms Clark or maybe we couldn’t find anybody the time we need them

11/25/17
We could ask the teacher at cooking and maybe ask her if she could cook some healthy foods for us and share them at the gym
We as a group could go together at the cooking class and ask her together
The teacher at cooking couldn't give us the things we need and she might be somewhere else than the cooking room when we need her.

11/25/17
We need some plans to make an event or some activities at the gym during the day we are gonna do our plans
We as a group could talk what we could work on who is gonna buy that and who is gonna prepare that
Someone in our group could forget what we need in order to make the task go in place

"JDFCJ"- JohnDel, Franz, Chammy, Joevick

At Hornby high, we are trying to help our fellow students improve on their healthy habits but I am definitely sure that most of the students at Hornby are not healthy because of the food they eat like Burgers, Fries and Fish & Chips because those kinds of foods are not healthy and we are trying to improve that and make it better because of the case of obesity or too much fat in one person.

To help us for our investigation is we need some help from some websites:

Random Writings - Nov 1, 2017

If drugs are allowed in sports, or in any activity there will be nothing good that will come up because of drugged people are gonna play a little shove will instantly turn into a fight because with drugs people won’t even notice themselves just like alcohol which is a dangerous thing for people in sports.

In sports or games their is a little reward called “sportsmanship” where someone is rewarded for being a good player and not ruining other people’s experience of the game and someone who helps his fellow playmates and that is something fun to have during game or an event because it is fun to play a game if you know what you are doing and that is a kind soul to help someone in need.

And if drugs were not banned before or anytime at a game, it is very dangerous for the player to play because he can get “pissed off” instantly and then that frustration will turn into a bloody massacre if everyone is drugged and even the referee because he will just get the equipment and give it to the players to see an awesome, bloody-massacre for the referee, if he or she was on drugs.

NATURAL ENVIRONMENT - RANDOM WRITINGS - OCT 20 2017

When it comes to hunting, first of all, why do we hunt?, is it to keep us from boredom and just kill animals for no reason, or to kill animals for fun and thrill and sometimes people kill animals because they have nothing else to do for their own lives for law's sake and that is against the law, killing an animal without the permission of the government is a crime, animal-abuse is what it is called and that is a crime nowadays.

And when people don't listen or obey this rule they are gonna, possibly annihilate a race or species of one kind of animal and that is against my beliefs and humanity should not kill any animal for no reason at all, because the animal has reason to die unless if you kill it for food, and you are starving but killing it for fun or sport and taking it's artifacts is useless and against the law of man and also against my religious beliefs and that is not a great sign for humanity.

if we annihilate a race then the food chain will be broken and that will not go well for the human race, because we humans eat some animals for our strength but if we destroy one race then the entire food web will be broken and that cannot go so well for us, and that is a warning for those hunters who hunt for sport and they should be scared because if the government found these activities then they will get arrested and possibly rot in jail, and that is already a warning.

APPOINTMENT WITH FEAR

I was so young when I did it, I felt like the earth was shaking, my vision was very blurry like the peak of the highest mountain on earth, but before it, my family was with me and we went to a fun-filled park called “Resort World Sentosa”, The sun was blazing hot but it was a place full of joyous people under the scorching sun and the gorgeous park and it's buildings was full of pillars, stalls for souvenirs, food and toys that people were yelling to sell, and it was a child’s dream world and then after looking around the gorgeous place we went inside the amusement park and we used our tickets to enter the huge gate that the main gate was more than 50 meters above ground  and the first thing we did when we entered the park was we ate a cookies and cream ice cream and we took some delicious nestle ice tea to drink while walking around the park on a stone chiseled path and we took some pictures aside some favorite character's like Elmo, Betty Boop, Shrek, Frankenstein and others, and then after we ate the ice cold cookies and cream ice cream and drank the tasty and delicious nestle ice tea we walked our path and went for the awesome rides.

And then we rode all the rides in the amusement park, the other’s were no big deal, but there is one ride that I can never forget, because I took a risk of facing my fears and challenged my nightmares for this one and that went somewhere else because this ride gave me the most darkest, most deepest nightmares that haunted me during the time of my childhood and the name of this terrifying ride was “The Mummy” which was already spooky at the mouth of the ride, the entrance, which was also tall and massive, with some realistic looking statues of the Anubis which was corroding which looked real and the Egyptian carvings on the sides of the stones, the Anubis was standing on and the Anubis statue was also carrying a big chunk of stone on top of its head and the main line of the ride was long but also hair-raising, terrifying because it had a sound system around the cave which was releasing noises of people screaming and the sounds of ghosts weeping and the system was also releasing sounds of the wind like “fhooooo” and that was only the entrance.

When I was walking across the graveled path, I was feeling small like a newborn kitten in front of a huge dog that’s about to chew me up, but I was lucky enough that I have a great imagination and thought about everything the opposite and I felt a little better because I have my friends beside me, I felt even better because those are my friends, but the feelings suddenly changed when I was about to ride the roller coaster of death, It was all-around eye opener the cave had wooden scaffolding's in the middle of the cave but the walls was full of Anubis statues and they were holding the cave, but it was the end of the line and I was about to ride the roller coaster and I already saw the first part of the ride and it was complete darkness everywhere, and now the start of the ride is here.

The first part of the ride was all calm, then the suspense was starting to rise like the sun but dashing across the skies and my body began to heat up like a chicken inside a furnace and then my fear began to attack me and I started to imagine that the events were actually real and then I started to scream but not by joy, but by extraordinary horror, and I started to grab on my friend’s arm and then I just started to scream as much as possible just to get what’s inside me out, to release all the tense, because when I was just a kitten, I was afraid of the dark, but I still want to be a hard brick in front of my friends, In order for them not to make me feel even smaller than what I already am, but the ride suddenly stopped intensely, but when I opened the lids of my eyes, I saw the entire cave, full of mummies, encased in sarcophagi, and then suddenly the sarcophagi started to move across, the top part of it opened, and then a mummy jumped out like “sshhhh!!!”, just like a bunny out of its hole and then the ride started again but extremely faster and going back than forward and then the screaming of the walls were louder and the ride even attacked my feelings that there was something inside my skin crawling because of the audio system which was really good.

And then after that the ride was coming to an end after all the torment and extreme “heart-out” feeling the ride was done, and I was feeling more confident than ever but also more than horrified by the moments in the cave because I was still a kitten then but now I know that feeling of “no commitment, no sacrifice is gonna be no victory” feeling came into my head and now I want try all the terrifying ride out there and conquer them and now I feel like a hero and more fearless than ever.

ACID RAIN

ACID RAIN CYCLE:

ACID RAIN

  • CAUSES
Acid rain is caused by a chemical reaction that begins when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air. These substances can rise very high into the atmosphere, where they mix and react with water, oxygen, and other chemicals to form more acidic pollutants, known as acid rain.
  • FORMATION
Acid rain is caused by a chemical reaction that begins when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air. These substances can rise very high into the atmosphere, where they mix and react with water, oxygen, and other chemicals to form more acidic pollutants, known as acid rain.
  • EFFECTS ON THE ENVIRONMENT
Acid rain has many ecological effects, but none is greater than its impact on lakes, streams, wetlands, and other aquatic environments. Acid rain makes waters acidic, and causes them to absorb the aluminum that makes its way from soil into lakes and streams.
  • WHY NZ IS NOT AFFECTED AS MUSH AS OTHER COUNTRIES
NZ is not that affected because NZ uses natural forces for power and they do not burn coal or any fossil fuel for power and they use hydro power plants to get power in rivers and in oceans and that is helping the environment especially NZ
  • SIMILARITIES/DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ACID RAIN AND OCEANIC ACIDIFICATION
Ocean acidification is a result of CO2 concentration in the atmosphere. CO2 dissolves in water to form carbonic acid, this carbonic acid reacts with the calcium carbonate (product of weathered rock) in the ocean water. Carbonic acid increases the amount of hydrogen ions in the ocean water, these hydrogen ions interact with calcium carbonate creating bicoarbonate. Marine organisms need calcium carbonate to synthesize shells, as we continuously add excess CO2 to our atmosphere, we increase the amount of CO2 in the oceans, which results in more carbonic acid. The more carbonic acid we have in the oceans, the less calcium carbonate we have. If marine organisms are not able to produce shells or exoskeletons, they die. Their death destabilizes the oceanic ecosystems, ultimately resulting in the destabilization of terrestrial ecosystems on a global scale.

Acid rain is a product of burning coal and other industrial wastes. Coal contains sulfur, when the coal is burned, this sulfur is introduced to the atmosphere where chemical reactions occur resulting in sulfur oxides. Chemical changes convert some of these sulfur oxides into sulfuric acid. This sulfuric acid is taken back to the surface of earth with rain, acid rain. Other industrial wastes produce pollutants that result in nitrogen oxides, which also contribute to acid rain.

Both acid rain and ocean acidification are dangerous and damaging. Acid rain can destroy entire forests, alter the chemistry of soils, lakes, rivers, etc.

Ocean acidification has a much quicker effect on earth's life, although they are both equally bad, I would say that ocean acidification has a much greater impact on the planet as a whole than acid rain. Ocean acidification can lead to mass extinctions.

WHAT'S INSIDE A COMPUTER?

WHAT'S INSIDE
A COMPUTER?

My experience of pulling apart a computer was
amazing cause I get to see what's inside a computer and it was thrilling because it was my first time and I love computers

I can use this knowledge about the inside of a computer and possibly enhance the technology it self and make it even faster than the computers of our time now and then make it better, faster and smarter in the future and this can be my career for the future.

Examples:

In Macbeth by William Shakespeare, dialogue was used to show the state of  Macbeth’s mind.

For instance, the line “Is this a dagger I see before me?” demonstrates Macbeth questioning  his reality.
This technique reveals Macbeth’s character  by showing the audience that he has started to hallucinate and that his mind is playing tricks on him, or, alternatively, that the witches are having more influence on him than he realises.
Shakespeare did this to show the consequences of Macbeth’s guilty actions. As the play progresses, Macbeth’s mind becauses more troubled and Shakespeare uses Macbeth’s  dialogue, actions, and the conversations of other to reflect this.
This dialogue  can be juxtaposed with the feast when he has a visitation of Banquo’s ghost and says “Then comes my fit again: I had else been perfect”. This highlights, to some degree, the fact that Macbeth is conscious of his hallucinations. However, a characteristic of insanity is the insane person not knowing that are in fact insane and by the end of the play, Macbeth no longer knows what is real and what is imagined around him. This highlights the fact that guilt through murder and ‘unfettered’ ambition can affect the state of people's’ minds.

In the SEXXXY template below, answer ONE of the following questions:

I am answering question number: 3
Copy and paste your question here: Describe at least one important character in the written text(s). Explain how the character changes throughout the text(s)
Planning
Gather and Order ideas:

Ponyboy was a smart kid, a gangster, has lots of friends, likes to read, and ran away because of darry slapping him, and then went to a h

Introduction:
(Optional)

SEXXXY 1

The book ‘The Outsiders’ has a lot of important characters but i am going to talk about one and that is Ponyboy

This is demonstrated when the book is about to start and it already mentioned Ponyboy was the one who got jumped and possibly the main character of the story

This makes us understand that Ponyboy is the main character because the story is running from his point of view and what he sees is what is being written in the story

The purpose of this was to show us how a gangster life is and how it is hard and extremely painful for the parents eyes to see how their child became a gangster and now he is out there getting in trouble

This can be juxtaposed to what happened in the book ‘The Outsiders’ when they were inside a hospital and Johnny was in a bed and Ponyboy and Darry are outside and talked about what happened and then Darry cried because of Ponyboy and how he almost died and he was so sad that he couldn’t hold his tears and then Ponyboy almost cried too.
SEXXXY 2

The Book ‘The Outsiders’ is written by a female writer named S.E. Hinton which was a very skillful writer

We see this in the beginning of the book where it all started where the ‘greaser’ named Ponyboy was jumped and he was getting bullied by some socs and that moment was almost a real feeling to the reader where he was almost cut and it made it more intense

This makes the audience feel amazed of what the book has in store for us and makes us want to read even more and that is amazing and also scary because they could scare us easily and that will be awesome

The purpose of this was to make the audience feel what was happening to the character inside the story and it was perfect and amazing because they could make us feel very tense of what is gonna happen next in the book

This can juxtaposed to the part in the book where the boy named Ponyboy and his friend Johnny was somewhere near a church where they were staying at and then suddenly started to burn into flames but they were children inside and they tried to save them and this part of the story was so amazing and very tense that it can win an oscar
SEXXXY 3

The book ‘The Outsiders’ has a lot of knowledge in store for us and this book has too much that cannot be learned at only reading it once

For example, the part when Darry slapped Ponyboy because of him not coming back at home early and he was late to come at home and then when Ponyboy was slapped he ran away because of his anger, this part is teaching us to not judge a person that quickly because he might have a reason for slapping Ponyboy

This shows us that this book does have some beautifully meanings and it is an amazing book and there is more lesson’s inside the book that can relate in the human life and can also be a guide for our lives

This was done to show us how to walk the life of a clean man without mistakes that we just have to do what is we know is good and not the bad ones we know

This aspect can be contrasted to an event in the book like the part where Ponyboy and Johnny ran away because of a big mistake that they did but didn’t mean to do it but did it because they were forced to do it and did it by self-defense and that teaches us to be honest and tell the authorities what happened especially to cases like self-defense because the police might think it is murder but actually not.
SEXXXY 4

The Book ‘The Outsiders’ was written by S.E. Hinton and it was in the 19th century were the world was young and violence was not that extreme only blood and no death

This is demonstrated throughout the book and it’s events that were so unlike the time’s today because the gangs in our time are way different from before now in gang wars they have guns and other scary equipment but before when this descriptive book was written it was the time when they only used their own fists and did not rely on other things like deadly and dangerous weapons

This makes the audience feel different and amazed of what are the difference between the gangs from today and before and what are the difference between their life from then and from today

The author did this to show us that the life of having a gang is very hard and sometimes even terrifying and because of that the world changed and now they are really into killing each other

This aspect can be compared to what is happening throughout the book just like when they had a rumble between the wealthy and the poor and when the ‘greasers’ are alone walking in the streets they would get jumped by some wealthy people called in the book ‘socs or socials’ and they always become chaos
